Every song is free to play. Always.

Orpheus is a Discord music bot. 24/7, lyrics and filters, which other bots charge for, are free in every server. Add it, then type /play in a voice channel.

See what Orpheus does

You get the song you asked for

Type a song name and Orpheus checks the title, the artist and the length before it plays, so a sped-up edit or a version that cuts off early gets skipped.

For the remix, add “remix” to your search. Links from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Deezer go through the same checks.

It keeps playing after the queue runs out

Autoplay carries on from the artists behind the last five songs people asked for, and from artists like them. Press Like on a song and your server hears it more often. Press Not for me and autoplay won't pick it again.

Follow along from your phone

Open the dashboard on your phone and the words light up as they're sung, beside the cover and who added the song. From the voice channel, you can skip or add songs there too.

Turn on /admin stay and Orpheus stays in the channel, pausing when everyone leaves and carrying on when someone joins.

Synced to the song
  1. This is where the words go
  2. Each line lights up as it's sung
  3. The one before it fades back
  4. And the next one waits below
  5. The list scrolls to keep your place
  6. Untick Follow along to hold it still
  7. Songs without timings show the words in full
  8. And an instrumental says there's nothing to show

Questions people ask first

Is it free?
Yes. Every song, 24/7, lyrics, filters, playlists and the dashboard are free in every server.
Does it need the Administrator permission?
No. It asks only for what it uses, such as seeing channels, sending messages, connecting and speaking, so it can post the player card and play in your voice channel.
What can it play?
Nearly any song by name, and links from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, SoundCloud, Bandcamp and Audius. Video links, live radio stations, direct links to audio files and most other music links work too.

What changed, and whether it’s working

Latest changes

Version 1.4.1

Fewer songs that fail, and music that stays paused when nobody is listening

  • Orpheus now checks the exact stream it is about to play and tries another route when one is refused, so far…
  • After an update or restart, a 24/7 channel with nobody in it stays paused instead of playing to an empty…
  • The dashboard can find your Spotify playlists again, and Spotify links start faster.
