Terms of use
Last updated 3 October 2026
By adding Orpheus to a Discord server, or by using its commands, you agree to these terms.
Who you are agreeing with
Orpheus is run by Glex, a private individual who wishes to remain anonymous. “We” and “us” mean Glex. The website is hosted by Vercel and the bot by OVHcloud. “You” means the person using the bot and, where you added it to a server, the person responsible for it there. Contact: support@orpheusbot.app.
The service
Orpheus is a Discord bot that plays audio in voice channels. Playing music with it is free, in every server, and we will never make you pay for that.
Donations
A donation, such as on Ko-fi, is a gift. It doesn’t buy anything, so it isn’t refundable.
Who may use it
You must be old enough to use Discord where you live, which is at least 13, and be allowed to use Discord under its terms. If you add the bot on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you can agree to these terms for it.
What is expected of you
- Follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- Don’t use Orpheus to play content you have no right to play, or to infringe anyone’s copyright.
- Don’t try to disrupt the service: no automated command spam, no attempts to overload, probe or interfere with it, and no reselling access to it.
- You are responsible for how Orpheus is used in a server you run, including who you let control playback.
Content, and who owns it
Orpheus doesn’t host or store music. When you ask for a song, it plays the audio from a third-party service. That content belongs to those services and their rights holders, and their terms apply to it as well as these.
The Orpheus name, logo and this website belong to Glex.
Copyright complaints
If you believe Orpheus has been used to play something that infringes your rights, email support@orpheusbot.app with enough detail to identify the work and where it happened. The service hosting the audio is usually the one that can remove it, but we will act on anything within our control, including removing the bot from a server that uses it to infringe.
Availability
We provide the service as it is, when it is available. We don’t guarantee uptime, or that a given song, source or feature will keep working, because the services it relies on change. We may change, suspend or end the service at any time.
Liability
As far as the law allows, Glex is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for interrupted playback, lost queues or lost playlists.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local law gives you.
Ending it
You can stop at any time by removing Orpheus from your server. We may withdraw access from a server or a user that abuses the service or breaks these terms, and where the abuse is deliberate, usually without warning.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your own country and keep the protection of its consumer law.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes. If you keep using Orpheus after that date, the new version applies. If you don’t accept a change, remove the bot.
